Questions
Flight times, airports, passports, transfers and prices for private flights between London and the Riviera.
Still wondering?
Add your question to the notes of a quote request and your advisor will answer it.
Request a quoteHow long is the flight from London to Nice?
About 1 hour 50 minutes in most jets, and roughly two and a half hours in a turboprop. The return is often a few minutes longer against the prevailing westerly winds.
Which London airport should I leave from?
Farnborough and Biggin Hill handle business aviation only and suit west and south London. Luton and Stansted are easier from the north and east. London City is closest to the Square Mile, but only aircraft approved for its steep approach can use it.
Can I land in Cannes or Saint-Tropez?
Often, in a smaller aircraft. Cannes-Mandelieu and Saint-Tropez La Môle both limit aircraft size and opening hours, so larger jets land at Nice and continue by car or helicopter.
How do I get from Nice to Monaco?
A helicopter takes about seven minutes to the Monaco Heliport; by car allow around 40 minutes, longer in traffic. Either can be arranged with your flight.
What does the quoted price cover?
Everything for the trip as quoted: the flight, positioning, crew, airport and handling charges, and taxes such as UK Air Passenger Duty, which applies to most jet departures from British airports.
Will I need my passport?
Yes. Flights between the UK and France cross the Schengen border, so every passenger needs a valid passport, and the operator sends passenger details ahead of departure.
Can our dog come too?
Many operators will carry a dog by prior arrangement, and animals travelling from the UK into France must meet the French entry rules for pets. Let us know when you ask for a quote.
Is there anything to join or pay up front?
Nothing. Asking for a price is free and carries no obligation: no membership, no deposit and no account to open.
Who actually flies the aircraft?
Private Jet London to Nice is an air charter broker and is not a direct air carrier. We do not own or operate aircraft; every flight is operated by an FAA Part 135 (or foreign equivalent) direct air carrier in operational control of the aircraft. The operator is named in your quote.
When is the Riviera busiest?
Mid-May to early June, when the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix fall within a few weeks of each other, and the whole of July and August. Those dates are worth booking well ahead.
Can you arrange cars and helicopters at the other end?
Yes. Tell us where you are staying and your advisor can include a car or a helicopter transfer in the plan, priced alongside the flight.
Can I fly one way, or return from a different airport?
Both are possible. Many guests fly into Nice and home from Cannes, or travel one way and return on another date; each leg is quoted clearly.
